Hi, I have a MacBook Air and I used to run the solver add-in for office:2011 until two weeks ago. My Mac went into a flash memory problem that forced me to replace it, I didn't have a backup and I had to reinstall everything. Yesterday I reinstalled the office, updated it and tried to add the solver add-in but I've got some errors that do allow me to add the solver add-in but it doesn't work. When I try to add it to my excel the following errors show up in my screen, one right after the other: 1st: Compile error in hidden module: ThisWorkbook 2nd: Error in loading DLL When I remove the solver add-in a 3rd error shows up right after the others: 3rd: Compile error in hidden module: SolverCode My office is original, but since MacBook Air doesn't have a CD/DVD reader I downloaded the office from the Microsoft's website and activated it with the key available in the CD I have, almost just like I have done int the first time I installed. In the first time I'd download the office from Softonic, but the activation was done with the key available in the CD. Today I've received a reply from the Frontline (the company that develops the solver) about the error. They sent me a new solver.xlam and suggested me to try this new one.
I've changed the name of the previous solver.xlam, saved the solver.xlam from the attachment in the folder suggested and tried to add that new solver but the problems persisted. Based on that I thought it could be a problem from the Office itself. So I decided to ask here too. Today I've also downloaded the Office:2011 again and reinstalled it, but nothing changed. I don't know why it started to happen now and how can I solve it. Could someone please help me with this problem?
I am so frustrated! I've researched all afternoon about how to take automatic relisting off of my eBay items. Directions were followed in numerous ways. Not only can I NOT do it, neither can the eBay help person whom I spoke with on the phone for a half hour figure it out. She has been very patient and has tried numerous ways to help, but to no avail.
This is upsetting because I have no control over not relisting my items. Is anyone else having this problem? Has anyone figured out how to do this? The directions on eBay do not work. Is it because I have a Mac? First off you can not do this from the mobile app.
Second there are apparently two different versions of the app. One where you have the option to stop auto relist before you list and one where you cannot. I have no idea how to get the old app back but anyway here is what you can do to stop the relisting. From the website hover over My eBay on the top tight and click selling go to the item in question and click the dropdown arrow next to more actions on this list there will be a selection called Remove Automatic Relist Click that So this is a pretty.bleep. primarily because you have to do this for each listing and the page refreshes after each one making this agonizingly tedious. Why isn't there a check box before your item is listed? Why isn't there at least a way to fix multiple listings at once?
If anyone figures or fixes this let me know. Hope this helps and I sympathize because this is ridiculous. The auto relist somehow turns itself on, all the extra details somehow get incorrectly filled in (like character name “Action Man”, AFA graded is always checked “Yes” along with modified and custom bundle), the “Accept Best Offers” gets turned on automatically. I have no idea what isiot thought this would be a good idea to incorporate into ebay without telling ANYONE but whatever “genius” did this, should be fired. Not only is it annoying, it takes more time to list now because of all the corrections you have to make, and now there is a HUGE margin of error for all those who barely know how to use ebay. This just creates problems in that people will be listing incorrectly if they happen to miss something, then either the seller will have to cancel the item to correct it (which upsets both the seller and the buyer) or the buyer will be buying something that was incorrectly described by the idiot ebay robot!
ANNOYING EBAY! WHY DID YOU FIX SOMETHING THAT WASNT BROKE????
